Privacy Policy and Registration Consent
Effective date: 12 August 2026 | Operator: Steron Foundation
OTUDERE is owned and operated by Steron Foundation. This policy explains how the platform handles personal information supplied by PWD beneficiaries, employers, staff and other authorised users.
Information we collect
Depending on your account type, we may collect your name, email, phone number, date of birth, address, Nigerian state, local government area, disability and health-related information, education and skills, identification and verification documents, employment information, organisation details, applications, requests, complaints and account security records.
Why we use it
We use this information to create and secure accounts, verify eligibility and identity, deliver disability inclusion and empowerment services, manage devices, training, grants, jobs and events, communicate registration or security updates, maintain audit records, prevent misuse and meet applicable legal obligations.
Sensitive information and consent
Disability, medical and identity information requires additional care. During registration you must actively confirm that you understand and consent to the processing needed for OTUDERE services. You may withdraw consent for future optional processing, but some records may need to be retained where required for security, accountability, programme administration or law.
Sharing and access
Access is limited by user role. Authorised Steron Foundation administrators and staff may review registration and programme information. We may use service providers for hosting, email or SMS delivery, but they should only process information needed to provide those services. We do not sell registration data.
Security and retention
We use account authentication, password hashing, HTTPS, access controls and audit records. No online system can guarantee absolute security. Information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, legal obligations, dispute handling and programme accountability, then securely deleted or anonymised where appropriate.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask to be informed about processing, access your information, correct inaccurate information, object to or restrict certain processing, request deletion or portability where applicable, withdraw consent and complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission. The Commission describes these rights under sections 34–38 of the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 on its official website.
